About The Role

We are looking for a freelance PR professional who can drive media visibility and manage external communications end-to-end. This is a hands-on, output-driven role - not advisory. The focus is on getting consistent, high-quality media coverage and building leadership visibility.

Scope of Work & Deliverables

• Media Coverage (Core KPI)
• Secure 4 - 6 quality media features/mentions per month (business/media publications).
• Build and actively manage relationships with journalists and editors.
• Leadership Profiling
• Drive LinkedIn and media visibility for leadership.
• Secure interviews, quotes, and speaking opportunities.
• PR Strategy & Execution
• Create monthly PR plan with clear story angles.
• Identify news hooks, trends, and proactive PR opportunities.
• Monitoring & Reporting
• Track coverage, share monthly PR report (coverage, reach, quality).
• Monitor industry/news trends and flag risks or opportunities.
• Crisis & Reputation Management (as needed)
• Draft holding statements and ensure consistent external messaging.
  
  

Performance Expectations (Critical)

• Clear focus on outcomes (coverage), not just activity.
• Strong media network (India business media preferred).
• Ability to work independently with minimal handholding.
• Quick turnaround on media opportunities and requests.
• High responsiveness and stakeholder coordination.
  
  

Skills Required

• Strong media relations and proven journalist network.
• Excellent writing (press releases, pitches, articles).
• Strong understanding of business, consulting, and corporate narratives.
• Ability to position leadership as thought leaders.
• Familiarity with digital media and LinkedIn amplification.
  
  

Eligibility

• 3-6 years of PR / media relations experience.
• Proven track record of securing media coverage (must share examples).
• Experience with consulting firms / corporate / B2B brands preferred.
