PPC Engineer

Job Summary

The PPC Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production activities to ensure timely delivery of customer orders while optimizing resources, inventory, and production capacity. The role involves coordinating with Production, Purchase, Stores, Sales, and Quality teams to maintain smooth manufacturing operations for valves and fittings.

Key Responsibilities

• Update Sales Orders (SO) and Work Orders (WO) in the VPS/ERP system with accurate production status.
• Maintain and monitor material shortage reports and current order status.
• Plan, coordinate, and control production activities based on customer requirements and production capacity.
• Prepare and release production job orders as per the production schedule.
• Raise Purchase Requisitions (PR) against Sales Orders and coordinate with the Purchase team for timely material availability.
• Develop and maintain material planning to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Monitor production progress and ensure adherence to production schedules.
• Verify Plan vs. Actual production and initiate corrective actions to address deviations.
• Track work order completion and coordinate with Stores and Production to resolve material-related issues.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend actions to optimize stock and reduce shortages.
• Coordinate with Sales, Production, Purchase, Quality, and Stores for effective production execution.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production planning and MIS reports.
• Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely completion of customer orders while maintaining quality and delivery commitments.
