Experience in grid integration of wind and renewable power plants; hands-on modeling and simulation experience in at least one major power system software package; exposure to Australian grid codes and compliance assessments.
Responsibilities
- Perform Power System Studies including: Load Flow Analysis; Short Circuit Analysis; Dynamic (RMS) Studies; Wind/Renewable Energy Grid Integration Studies; Analyze and validate: LVRT (Low Voltage Ride Through) and HVRT (High Voltage Ride Through) requirements; Active and Reactive Power Control; dQ0 Sequence Concepts; Plant Controller Behavior; Grid Code Compliance; Conduct power system simulations and studies using industry-standard software: PSS E; PSCAD; DIgSILENT PowerFactory; ETAP; Prepare: Technical Documentation; Study Reports; Compliance Reports; Develop and validate models for: Wind Turbine Generators (WTG); Turbine Generator (TG) Controls; Power Quality (PQ) Capability Studies; Point of Connection (POC/PCC) Modeling; Ensure compliance with: Australian Market Grid Codes; Renewable Energy Interconnection Regulations.
- Conduct power system simulations and studies using industry-standard software such as PSS E, PSCAD, DIgSILENT PowerFactory, ETAP.
- Perform Power System Studies including Load Flow Analysis, Short Circuit Analysis, Wind/Renewable Energy Grid Integration Studies, and Grid Code Compliance.
