Role Summary:
Responsible for hardware design and development of power electronic systems including AC-DC and DC-DC converters, with a focus on simulation, analysis, and integration. Engages in the full hardware development lifecycle and participates in customer discussions.
What Youll Do:
- Design and implement power electronic hardware, including AC-DC and DC-DC converters, and motor inverters
- Manage the full hardware development lifecycle: requirements, design, development, verification, validation, qualification, and certification testing
- Conduct simulations using Matlab Simulink and perform functional analysis of analog and digital circuits
- Participate in customer discussions as required
- Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis on power electronic systems, implementing corrective actions
- Analyze circuits for FMEA, stress, derating, worst-case, and tolerance studies
- Integrate power electronic systems into larger electrical systems
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Power electronic design experience, specifically in hardware design, AC-DC and DC-DC converters
- Simulation experience using Matlab Simulink
- Ability to analyze analog and digital circuits, perform FMEA, stress and tolerance studies
- Experience in the selection and application of Si, SiC, and GaN power semiconductors
- Experience with switching device selection, gate driver selection, modulation techniques, and filter design
