Power Bi Developer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Developer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence solutions. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, SQL, ETL processes, and dashboard development, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into insightful reports and visualizations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy interactive Power BI dashboards, reports, and scorecards.
• Gather and analyze business requirements and convert them into effective reporting solutions.
• Develop and optimize complex DAX measures, calculated columns, and KPIs.
• Create and maintain robust data models using star and snowflake schema methodologies.
• Connect Power BI with multiple data sources including SQL Server, Azure, Oracle, SharePoint, Excel, and APIs.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) activities to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data-related issues.
• Implement row-level security (RLS) and data governance standards.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and cross-functional teams to deliver analytics solutions.
• Monitor and support existing BI solutions, ensuring reliability and scalability.
• Create technical documentation, deployment guides, and user training materials.

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI (Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Power BI Gateway).
• Expertise in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and Power Query (M Language).
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
• Experience in data modeling, dimensional modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
• Hands-on experience with ETL processes and data integration.
• Experience with Azure data services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure SQL Database, or Data Lake.
• Knowledge of Power BI administration, workspace management, and deployment strategies.
• Understanding of performance tuning and report optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and data integration methods.
