Power Bi Developer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Looker, Qlik Sense, and Power BI.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into effective BI solutions.
• Develop reusable and scalable data models for reporting and analytics.
• Write optimized SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
• Perform data validation, cleansing, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and consistency.
• Develop KPIs, metrics, calculated fields, measures, dimensions, and business logic.
• Optimize dashboard performance, query performance, and data models.
• Collaborate with data engineering teams to understand data pipelines, warehouses, and source systems.
• Troubleshoot issues related to dashboards, reports, data models, and data refreshes.
• Maintain BI documentation, data definitions, and technical documentation.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security within BI platforms.
• Ensure BI solutions follow organizational standards for performance, scalability, and usability.
• Participate in UAT, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement activities.
• Work with stakeholders to identify opportunities for automation and improved reporting processes.

Qualification and Skills:

• Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in data engineering space
• Strong hands-on experience with Looker and LookML.
• Experience creating Views, Explores, Dimensions, Measures, and Derived Tables.
• Strong understanding of LookML-based data modeling.
• Hands-on experience with Qlik Sense dashboard and application development.
• Strong understanding of Qlik data modeling and scripting.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service.
• Experience developing interactive dashboards and reports.
• Strong knowledge of DAX and calculated measures.
• Strong knowledge of SQL.
• Experience working with relational databases and data warehouses.
• Understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data transformation
