Power BI Admin

Role & Responsibilities

• Administer and manage the Power BI Service environment.
• Configure and maintain On-Premises Data Gateways.
• Manage workspaces, user access, security groups, and permissions.
• Implement governance, security, and compliance standards across the Power BI platform.
• Monitor Power BI capacity utilization, performance, and system health.
• Support report and dashboard deployment activities across environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI service, gateway, and connectivity issues.
• Manage dataset refresh schedules and monitor refresh failures.
• Work closely with business users, developers, and BI teams to ensure platform availability.
• Implement Power BI administration best practices and optimize platform performance.
• Support migration and upgrade activities within the Power BI ecosystem.
• Create and maintain administration documentation and operational procedures.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 25 years of experience in Power BI Administration or BI Support.
• Strong hands-on experience with Power BI Service Administration.
• Experience managing Gateways, Workspaces, and Security.
• Good understanding of Power BI Capacity Management.
• Knowledge of DAX, Data Models, and Power BI architecture.
• Experience with Azure Active Directory and role-based access management.
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills.
• Experience with deployment, migration, and governance activities.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale BI environments.
