Job Description
We are looking for an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (L2) to join our team for supporting mission-critical PostgreSQL database environments at BSE Ltd. The ideal candidate should have 46 years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL administration, database clustering, performance tuning, migration, troubleshooting, and security hardening. The role involves managing production databases, ensuring high availability, and providing 247 onsite support.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain PostgreSQL databases.
- Perform database troubleshooting, performance tuning, and optimization.
- Configure and manage PostgreSQL database clusters.
- Execute database migrations and version upgrades.
- Implement database hardening, patching, and security best practices.
- Manage database users, roles, and permissions.
- Configure and maintain Foreign Data Wrappers (FDW).
- Monitor database health, capacity, and availability.
- Plan and execute backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
- Collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to resolve database issues.
- Automate routine database administration tasks.
- Maintain database documentation and operational standards.
