We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) with 6-8 years of experience in database administration, performance tuning, backup and recovery, and high availability environments. The candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise PostgreSQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, availability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, administer, and maintain PostgreSQL database environments.
- Perform database upgrades, patching, and migrations.
- Monitor database performance and optimize queries, indexes, and configurations.
- Manage backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
- Implement and support High Availability (HA) and replication solutions.
- Perform database capacity planning and storage management.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues and conduct root cause analysis.
- Implement database security, user management, and access controls.
- Support application teams during deployments and database changes.
- Automate routine DBA activities using Shell, Python, or PowerShell scripting.
- Manage database health monitoring and alerting tools.
- Participate in incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Required Skills

- Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL 11/12/13/14/15 and above.

- Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with automation scripting (Python, Shell).
