1. Postdoctoral Fellow Plant Tissue Culture / Plant Biotechnology

Essential Qualification/Experience:

Ph.D. in Plant Biotechnology, Plant Tissue Culture, Botany, Plant Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or allied disciplines, with demonstrated research experience in plant tissue culture, in-vitro regeneration and molecular biology.

Desirable/Expected Work:

• Expertise in micropropagation, callus culture, organogenesis, somatic embryogenesis, and/or somaclonal variation.
• Experience in Agrobacterium-mediated transformation and/or CRISPR/Cas genome editing.
• Molecular characterization using PCR/qPCR, molecular markers and related techniques.
• Development of improved plant varieties, greenhouse/field evaluation, and phytochemical/biochemical analysis.
• Research publications and ability to contribute to research proposals, patents, and student training.

2. Research Officer Plant Tissue Culture

Essential Qualification/Experience:

M.Sc./M.Tech. in Plant Biotechnology, Biotechnology, Botany, Plant Science, Agricultural Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or allied disciplines, with hands-on experience of more than one year in plant tissue culture and micropropagation.

Desirable/Expected Work:

• Practical expertise in aseptic techniques, media preparation, explant sterilization, culture establishment, multiplication, regeneration, rooting, and acclimatization.
• Experience in orchid, lily, or other ornamental/medicinal plant tissue culture is desirable.
• Knowledge of callus culture, somatic embryogenesis, and organogenesis.
• Molecular biology skills, including PCR/DNA isolation and molecular screening.
• Assistance in transformation/genome-editing studies, greenhouse/field evaluation, mass multiplication, and laboratory training.
