Job Description: Point of Sale (POS) QA/Test Engineer

Experience: 5-11 Years

Location: Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad (or as applicable)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Point of Sale (POS)

with 5-11 years of experience in testing POS applications, payment systems, retail solutions, and transaction processing platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in functional testing, automation testing, payment gateway validation, POS terminal testing, and retail domain knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end testing of Point of Sale (POS) applications and retail systems.
• Validate payment transactions including Credit Card, Debit Card, UPI, Wallets, and Contactless Payments.
• Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
• Test POS devices, payment terminals, barcode scanners, receipt printers, and peripheral integrations.
• Develop and execute automation test scripts for POS applications.
• Verify transaction flows, pricing, promotions, discounts, refunds, voids, and settlements.
• Validate integration between POS systems, payment gateways, inventory systems, and ERP applications.
• Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
• Perform API and database validation testing.
• Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and retail operations teams.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and release activities.
• Ensure compliance with payment security and industry standards.
