Plumbing Engineer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Design and execute plumbing systems, including domestic water supply, drainage, sewage, and stormwater systems.
• Prepare and review plumbing layouts, shop drawings, and isometric drawings using AutoCAD.
• Perform hydraulic calculations for pipe sizing, water demand, and drainage systems.
• Supervise plumbing installation work and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Coordinate with HVAC, electrical, civil, and architectural teams to resolve site-related issues.
• Prepare BOQs, material takeoffs, and material requisitions.
• Inspect plumbing materials and verify compliance with approved technical specifications.
• Conduct pressure testing, leakage testing, and commissioning of plumbing systems.
• Monitor site progress and ensure timely completion of plumbing activities.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and applicable plumbing codes.
• Prepare inspection requests, daily progress reports, and as-built drawings.
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to plumbing installation.
• Support project handover by preparing testing reports and as-built documentation.

Required Skills

• Knowledge of plumbing system design and execution.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of water supply, drainage, and sewage systems.
• Understanding of plumbing materials, fittings, valves, and pumps.
• Knowledge of BOQ preparation and material estimation.
• Familiarity with plumbing testing and commissioning procedures.
• Good coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a relevant discipline.
