Plumbing Design Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead PHE and plumbing design for residential, commercial, institutional and high-rise building projects.
• Design water supply, domestic water distribution, drainage, sewerage and stormwater systems.
• Develop plumbing layouts, schematic diagrams, design calculations and technical specifications.
• Design firefighting systems, including hydrants, sprinklers, pumps and related networks, wherever required.
• Work on rainwater harvesting, water conservation and wastewater management systems.
• Prepare and review drawings using AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, HVAC, electrical and site execution teams.
• Review BOQs, tender drawings, technical specifications and material requirements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable IS codes, NBC requirements and local regulations.
• Review consultant drawings, resolve design discrepancies and provide technical support during project execution.
• Monitor design quality, project timelines, cost optimisation and coordination with external consultants.

Required Skills

• Strong experience in building plumbing and PHE design.
• Knowledge of water supply, drainage, sewerage and stormwater systems.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD; Revit MEP preferred.
• Knowledge of NBC, relevant IS codes and plumbing design standards.
• Experience in design review, BOQ preparation and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Strong technical leadership and problem-solving skills.
