Plumbing and Fire Fighting Engineer (Data Center Constructions)

Role & responsibilities

• Supervise and execute plumbing and firefighting installation works as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
• Oversee installation of water supply, drainage, sewage, stormwater, fire sprinkler, hydrant, hose reel, and fire pump systems.
• Review shop drawings, layouts, material submittals, and technical specifications before execution.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, HVAC, and other MEP teams to resolve site interface issues.
• Monitor daily progress, manpower deployment, material availability, and subcontractor activities.
• Ensure compliance with project quality standards, approved method statements, HSE requirements, and applicable fire safety codes.
• Coordinate pressure testing, flushing, hydrostatic testing, and commissioning of plumbing and firefighting systems.
• Maintain inspection requests, testing reports, as-built drawings, and punch-list closure records.
• Coordinate with consultants, vendors, and project management teams to resolve technical issues and ensure timely execution.

Preferred candidate profile

• 510 years of experience in plumbing and firefighting site execution, preferably in data center construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of fire protection systems, fire pumps, sprinkler and hydrant networks, water supply, and drainage systems.
• Ability to interpret MEP shop drawings, layouts, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, QA/QC procedures, and applicable NFPA standards and local fire codes.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office preferred.
