Job Description
ACE Engineering Consultants is looking for a Plumbing & Fire Fighting Design Engineer with strong AutoCAD skills for its Mumbai office. The role involves designing and drafting plumbing and fire protection systems for building projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare plumbing layouts covering water supply, drainage, sewerage and rainwater systems.
- Prepare fire fighting layouts covering hydrants, sprinklers, pump rooms and piping schematics.
- Carry out water demand calculations, pipe sizing, and pump capacity and head calculations.
- Prepare BOQs, technical specifications and equipment schedules.
- Coordinate MEP drawings with architectural, structural and other services drawings.
- Review vendor drawings and technical submissions and incorporate project revisions.
Candidate Requirements
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a relevant qualification.
- 16 years of relevant plumbing and fire fighting design/drafting experience.
- AutoCAD proficiency is mandatory.
- Working knowledge of NBC and relevant IS standards.
- Familiarity with MS Excel for calculations and BOQ preparation.
- Good coordination skills and attention to detail.
- Prior experience with an MEP consultancy will be preferred.
