Platform Mobile Engineer

We are looking for a Platform Mobile Engineer with strong experience in Capacitor-based hybrid mobile development to build scalable, reusable mobile capabilities for Android and iOS.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain production-grade hybrid mobile applications using Ionic + Capacitor.
• Develop custom Capacitor/Cordova plugins and integrate native Android/iOS capabilities.
• Build reusable mobile components, SDKs, plugins and platform-level capabilities.
• Develop and manage Android APK/AAB and iOS IPA builds and releases.
• Work with Android Studio, Xcode, Gradle, CocoaPods, signing, certificates and provisioning profiles.
• Integrate device capabilities such as camera, biometrics, secure storage, notifications, filesystem and deep linking.
• Integrate REST APIs, authentication and secure mobile services.
• Troubleshoot Android/iOS platform-specific issues and optimise application performance.
• Contribute to mobile CI/CD pipelines and automated build/release processes.
• Use AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude or similar to improve development, testing and debugging.

Requirements:

• 7-10 years of mobile/software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Capacitor and hybrid mobile development.
• Strong experience in Android + iOS application development.
• Proven experience developing custom Capacitor/Cordova plugins.
• Strong TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, CSS/SCSS skills.
• Experience with Android Studio, Xcode and Gradle.
• Experience with APK, AAB and IPA generation and mobile app releases.
• Experience with Play Store and App Store deployment.
• Experience with native device APIs/integrations.
• Strong understanding of reusable components, SDKs, and platform architecture.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, authentication and mobile security.
