1. As a Platform Architect, you will: - Define and govern end-to-end system and solution architecture for remote services platforms covering IoT devices, connectivity, cloud platforms, firmware management, and enterprise integrations.
- Design secure, scalable, highly available, and resilient architectures that support remote diagnostics, monitoring, and over-the-air (OTA/FOTA) firmware updates.
- Develop current-state assessments, future-state architecture blueprints, and reference architectures aligned with enterprise technology standards.
- Design cloud-based solutions using AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
- Define integration patterns using microservices, APIs, event streaming, and distributed systems.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, and operations teams to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
- Drive architecture decisions, technology evaluations, and trade-off analyses to ensure performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
- 10+ years of overall experience in software engineering, platform engineering, or related technology domains.
- 5+ years of experience in a System Architect, Solution Architect, or Platform Architect role.
- Strong expertise in system architecture, solution design, and end-to-end platform architecture.
- Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
- Strong knowledge of IoT architectures, connected devices, device lifecycle management, and telemetry platforms.
- Experience with Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) or Over-the-Air (OTA) update management.
- Solid understanding of microservices, APIs, event streaming, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
- Experience designing secure, scalable, and highly available platforms.
- A Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS and/or Azure cloud certifications are preferred.
- Create and communicate architecture diagrams, technical blueprints, and reference architectures.
- Assess existing systems and define future-state architecture roadmaps.
- Evaluate technologies and make informed architecture trade-off decisions.
- Translate business and technical requirements into robust architectural solutions.
- Define and address non-functional requirements, including performance, reliability, security, availability, and scalability.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and technical stakeholders.
- Ensure architectural consistency with enterprise standards, security principles, and digital strategy.
