Job Summary
Everest Industries is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Production Planning Engineer to support production planning, scheduling, material coordination, and shop-floor operations at its Roorkee location. The ideal candidate should have a basic understanding of manufacturing processes, good analytical skills, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing daily and weekly production plans based on customer orders and delivery schedules.
- Coordinate with production, stores, procurement, and quality teams to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
- Monitor production progress against planned targets and report any deviations.
- Track raw material availability and coordinate with the concerned departments to avoid production delays.
- Maintain production planning reports, records, and MIS data.
- Support capacity planning, manpower allocation, and machine utilization monitoring.
- Identify production bottlenecks and assist in implementing corrective actions.
- Track work-in-progress (WIP), production output, and dispatch schedules.
- Ensure adherence to production timelines, quality standards, and safety procedures.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience: Freshers or candidates with up to 2 years of experience in production planning, PPC, or manufacturing operations.
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes and production planning concepts.
- Proficiency in MS Excel; knowledge of ERP/SAP systems will be an advantage.
Required Skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong coordination and communication abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
- Time management and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Willingness to work at the plant location in Roorkee.
