Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Plant Manager to lead our manufacturing facility in Kolhapur. The role is responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective plant operations while achieving production, quality, maintenance, and business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations to ensure smooth production and achievement of productivity and quality targets.
- Execute production plans, optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization, and ensure timely customer deliveries.
- Drive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
- Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction, process improvement, waste minimization, energy efficiency, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, Factory Act regulations, statutory requirements, and EHS practices while fostering a strong safety culture.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a workforce of 200-500 employees, building accountability and strengthening leadership capabilities.
- Collaborate closely with Sales, Purchase, Stores, Finance, HR, and Quality teams to support seamless business operations.
Desired Candidate Profile
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
(Mechanical / Chemical / Production / Electrical or equivalent)
MBA will be an added advantage but is not essential.
Experience
- 15-18 years in manufacturing.
- Minimum 5-7 years as Plant Manager, Operations Head, Production Head or equivalent.
- Experience in continuous process manufacturing preferred.
- Candidates from Paper, Packaging, Cable, Polymer, Chemical, Steel, Building Materials or similar industries will be preferred.
