Plant Manager

Production Management, Raw Material Management, Quality & Food Safety, Manpower Management, Plant & Machinery, Cost Control, Inventory & Stores management, Dispatch & Production Coordination, Safety & Compliance management.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day plant and manufacturing operations.
• Plan and achieve production targets as per business requirements.
• Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery, materials, and other resources.
• Monitor production processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational performance.
• Ensure products are manufactured according to defined quality standards and specifications.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Production, and Logistics teams.
• Monitor plant expenses and control manufacturing and operational costs.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective actions to minimize downtime and production losses.
• Ensure proper maintenance and availability of plant machinery and equipment.
• Monitor raw material availability, inventory levels, and material consumption.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, statutory, and company policies.
• Drive continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and process optimization initiatives.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to production, quality, cost, safety, and delivery.
• Manage and develop plant employees, supervisors, and production teams.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training and development requirements.
• Investigate production issues, breakdowns, quality problems, and process deviations.
• Prepare and present plant performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure timely dispatch and achievement of customer delivery commitments.
• Promote a culture of safety, accountability, discipline, quality, and continuous improvement.
