Ltd. is looking for an experienced and result-oriented Planning Manager to manage centralised planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and project controls across all ongoing construction sites.The candidate will be responsible for monitoring the overall project portfolio, developing integrated schedules, tracking planned versus actual progress, managing manpower and resource planning, identifying project delays, and ensuring timely completion of construction milestones.The role requires strong technical knowledge of Primavera P6, construction execution sequences, RCC and high-rise construction, resource planning, delay analysis, and management reporting.Key Responsibilities1. Prepare and maintain integrated master schedules for all ongoing construction projects.2. Develop baseline schedules, detailed activity schedules, tower-wise and floor-wise plans, and weekly and monthly look-ahead schedules.3. Monitor planned versus actual progress across all sites and identify schedule deviations, critical activities, and potential delays.4. Coordinate with Project Managers, General Managers, Site Engineers, QS, Billing, Procurement, Stores, and senior management.5. Conduct regular site visits to validate actual progress, identify execution constraints, and review recovery actions.6. Prepare daily progress reports (DPR), weekly progress reports (WPR), monthly progress reports (MPR), S-curves, milestone trackers, and management dashboards.7. Develop project-wise manpower, equipment, and resource deployment plans based on project schedules.8. Forecast manpower requirements, including carpenters, bar benders, supervisors, engineers, and other construction personnel.9. Monitor construction productivity, floor-cycle time, resource utilisation, and execution efficiency.10. Identify delays caused by drawings, approvals, material shortages, labour constraints, equipment unavailability, and client dependencies.11. Prepare delay analysis, catch-up schedules, acceleration plans, and corrective action plans to recover project timelines.12. Coordinate with QS and Billing teams to align physical progress with quantity measurement, RA billing milestones, and billing forecasts.13. Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of construction materials and equipment.14. Establish standardised planning formats, reporting systems, and project monitoring procedures across all sites.15. Maintain a centralised dashboard covering project progress, critical milestones, delays, risks, resource requirements, and forecast completion dates.16. Present project performance, schedule risks, and recovery strategies to the Director/Managing Director.17. Lead and guide planning engineers and coordinators, ensuring timely reporting and effective coordination with site teams.Required Qualifications and Experience* B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.* 8–12 years of experience in construction planning, scheduling, and project controls.* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a senior planning role handling multiple construction projects or large-scale projects.* Strong experience in high-rise residential, commercial, or large-scale RCC construction projects.* Practical experience in centralised planning, multi-site monitoring, manpower planning, and schedule recovery.* Experience in conventional RCC construction and Mivan/aluminium formwork will be an advantage.* PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent project planning certifications will be preferred.Technical Skills* Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6, including baseline management, critical path analysis, schedule updates, and resource planning.* Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including PivotTables, formulas, data analysis, and reporting dashboards.* Knowledge of Power BI for project dashboards and management reporting is preferred.* Strong understanding of Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), Critical Path Method (CPM), S-curves, progress measurement, and variance analysis.* Ability to interpret construction drawings, project specifications, execution sequences, and contractual milestones.* Good understanding of RCC activities, reinforcement, shuttering cycles, concreting, construction logistics, and floor-cycle planning.Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)* Timely completion of project milestones against approved schedules.* Accuracy and timely submission of project progress reports.* Early identification and escalation of schedule delays.* Effectiveness of recovery plans and corrective actions.* Accuracy of manpower and resource forecasts.* Improvement in productivity and reduction in avoidable idle time.* Accuracy of project completion forecasts.* Compliance with company planning and reporting procedures.Desired Candidate ProfileThe ideal candidate should have strong leadership, analytical, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple construction sites simultaneously.The candidate must be capable of independently reviewing site progress, identifying project risks, coordinating with execution teams, reallocating resources based on priorities, and providing reliable project status reports to senior management.Candidates with hands-on experience in Primavera P6, multi-site construction planning, high-rise RCC projects, manpower planning, and delay recovery will be given preference.Sourced from naukri
