Planning Engineer

1. Project Planning and Scheduling
• Create detailed project schedules that outline each phase of the project with
cost loading.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software
(e.g. Primavera, MS Project).
• Ensure that project schedules are aligned with project objectives and
stakeholders' expectations.
• Identify and schedule dependencies, critical path activities, and milestones.
• Develop and maintain resource allocation plans and schedules.
2. Monitoring and Tracking
• Visit construction sites to collect actual progress data.
• Upload actual progress data into project schedules and update project
schedules accordingly.
• Monitor and track project progress against project schedules and budgets.
• Identify and report any deviations from project schedules and budgets.
3. Delay Analysis
• Calculate delay and identify reasons for delay.
• Highlight potential delays and develop mitigation plans.
• Analyse and report on delay impacts on project schedules, budgets, and
resources.
• Develop and implement corrective actions to recover from delays.
4. Reports
• Prepare weekly and monthly reports on project progress, schedules, and
budgets.
• Develop and maintain project dashboards and metrics.
• Provide reports and analysis to stakeholders, including project managers,
contractors, and clients.
5. Look Ahead Program
• Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly lookahead programs based on project
schedules and tracking data.
• Develop and maintain cash flow forecasts and reports.
• Identify and report on potential cash flow issues and develop mitigation
plans.
