Planning Engineer

Requisition Description

• Objective
• To support the planning function by preparing and updating project schedules, tracking progress, coordinating with site teams, and assisting in reporting and resource planning. The role ensures timely inputs for decision-making and contributes to maintaining alignment with project timelines and deliverables. Reports to Planning Manager.
• Responsibilities
• • Prepare baseline and revised schedules using Primavera or MS Project.
• • Track daily and weekly progress and update schedules accordingly.
• • Coordinate with site teams, consultants, and contractors for schedule inputs.
• • Assist in preparing daily, weekly, and monthly plans and progress reports.
• • Maintain delay registers and support preparation of catch-up plans.
• • Monitor procurement and design deliverables against schedule.
• • Support planning reviews and maintain trackers for drawings, materials, and resources.
• • Assist in risk identification and maintain issue logs.
• • Contribute to digital planning initiatives including Power BI and BIM integration.
• • Maintain documentation and support compliance with planning standards.
• Skill Set
• • Proficiency in Primavera P6, MS Project, and MS Excel.
• • Understanding of construction planning, scheduling, and progress tracking.
• • Coordination and communication skills for interfacing with site teams.
• • Exposure to Power BI, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms is an advantage.
• • Ability to manage documentation and support planning reviews.
• Experience
• • 35 years of experience in planning within relevant sectors (Residential, Commercial, Hospitality, Healthcare, Industrial)
