Piping Stress Engineer (Onshore Oil & Gas Projects)

Position Summary
Responsible for performing piping stress analysis and flexibility studies for onshore Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, LNG, and Process Plant projects using CAESAR II, ensuring compliance with project specifications and international codes.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform piping stress analysis using CAESAR II.
• Evaluate thermal, pressure, wind, seismic, and occasional loads.
• Prepare stress reports, calculations, and stress-critical line lists.
• Review piping layouts and recommend support requirements.
• Assess equipment nozzle loads and coordinate with mechanical, structural, and piping teams.
• Ensure compliance with ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API, and ISO standards.
• Support model reviews, client meetings, construction, and commissioning activities.

Qualifications & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 8-15 years of piping stress engineering experience in Oil & Gas, Refinery, Petrochemical, or LNG projects.
• Strong hands-on experience in CAESAR II (mandatory).
• Knowledge of pipe support design, flexibility analysis, and equipment stress evaluation.
• Familiarity with E3D, PDMS, SP3D, or similar 3D modeling tools.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in FEED, Detailed Engineering, EPC, and Brownfield projects.
• Exposure to AIV/FIV studies and vibration analysis.
• Experience with major Onshore Oil & Gas and Petrochemical facilities.
