Piping Design Engineer - Cadworx

Position: Piping Designer- CADWORX

Experience: 2-7 Years
Qualification: BE/B.Tech Mechanical Engineering

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Piping Designer with 25 years of relevant experience in piping design, 3D modelling and detailing. The candidate should possess hands-on experience in CADWORX and have strong practical expertise in Piping Isometrics and Pipe Support Modelling & Detailing.

Experience in secondary pipe support modelling and detailing is essential. Candidates should have worked on Oil & Gas or Power Plant projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 3D piping models using CADWORX in accordance with P&IDs, piping specifications and project requirements.
• Perform piping layout and routing for process and utility piping systems.
• Prepare, extract and review Piping Isometric drawings.
• Carry out isometric checking against P&IDs, piping specifications and design requirements.
• Model and detail pipe supports, including secondary pipe supports.
• Prepare detailed secondary support drawings/details suitable for engineering and fabrication requirements.
• Develop pipe support arrangements considering piping loads, accessibility, constructability and site requirements.
• Prepare MTO/BOM for piping and pipe support systems.
• Perform equipment modelling and coordinate piping connections with equipment nozzles.
• Review 3D models for clash detection, accessibility, maintainability and constructability.
• Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil/Structural, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.
• Incorporate design review comments and ensure timely completion of engineering deliverables.
• Ensure drawings and models comply with applicable project specifications, standards and engineering codes.
