Pipeline Technical Director

Job Description

• Understand the needs of the artists and create production ready pipeline tools to facilitate the flow of data between departments.
• Work closely with the pipeline teams in other locations and assist the senior developers in adopting and integrating existing pipeline tools.
• Debug and fix errors/bugs that come up on a daily basis with a fast turnaround.
• Write user/developer documentation for developed tools and help artists with their usage.
• Write quick scripts to help make tasks easier/faster for the artists as and when the need arises

Qualifications

• Problem solver and analytical thinker •
• Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts
• 3-5 years of experience in the VFX industry (Film/TV/Games)
• Software development skills and knowledge of Python (required) and C++ (optional)
• Familiarity with version control systems like Git • Familiarity with DCCs like Nuke, Maya, Houdini etc. and their scripting APIs
• Familiarity with the VFX pipeline
