Physiotherapist - Cardio-pulmonary

Role & responsibilities

Clinical Care

• Perform comprehensive physiotherapy assessments for patients with cardiac, thoracic, and pulmonary conditions (e.g., post-CABG, valve replacement, COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, thoracic surgery).
  
• Develop individualized treatment plans and provide interventions such as:
  
• Breathing exercises, airway clearance techniques, inspiratory muscle training.
  
• Postural drainage, percussion, vibration, and suction assistance (if required).
  
• Mobilization, ambulation, and exercise prescription tailored to cardiac and pulmonary patients.
  
• Pulmonary rehabilitation and cardiac rehabilitation programs (inpatient and outpatient).
  
• Monitor patients progress, document treatment outcomes, and modify plans as required.
  
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative physiotherapy in ICUs, wards, and OPDs.
  
• Work in close collaboration with intensivists, cardiologists, pulmonologists, surgeons, and nursing teams.
