Role Description The PHP Laravel Developer will work on a full-time, on-site basis at Acaflix’s Kozhikode location. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining back-end features and APIs using PHP and the Laravel framework, ensuring secure, scalable, and high-performance applications. The developer will collaborate closely with front-end and product teams to integrate user-facing elements, implement new features, and resolve technical issues. Daily responsibilities include writing clean, documented code, performing code reviews, debugging and optimizing existing systems, and contributing to software architecture decisions. The role also includes working with databases, integrating third-party services, and following best practices in version control, testing, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Strong skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with hands-on experience using PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
• Practical experience in Front-End Development and Programming, including working with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and common front-end frameworks.
• Proficiency with relational databases (e.g., MySQL), RESTful APIs, and version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, and to debug and optimize existing applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in EdTech or building scalable web platforms is an advantage.
