About this role
Job Title: Full Stack Developer (PHP + React)
Job Location: Work From Home
Employment Type: Contract
Experience Required: 1 - 3 Years
Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
Job Summary: Mounterra Innovations is looking for a Full Stack Developer who is strong in PHP and comfortable working in React. You will be responsible for building and maintaining backend systems and APIs while also contributing to frontend interfaces as required by the project. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who can switch between server-side logic and UI work without losing momentum, and who takes ownership of their delivery without needing close supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and business logic primarily in PHP
- Build and update frontend components and user interfaces using React
- Work with relational databases to design schemas, write efficient queries, and manage data
- Integrate third party services and APIs as required across the stack
- Collaborate closely with the product team to translate requirements into functional, well-tested code
- Maintain clean, documented code and contribute to version control workflows using Git
- Identify and resolve bugs and performance bottlenecks on both frontend and backend
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with PHP 8.x, including familiarity with Laravel or similar frameworks
- Working knowledge of React and JavaScript (ES6+), sufficient to build and maintain UI components independently
- Experience with MySQL or a comparable relational database system
- Understanding of RESTful API design and integration
- Comfort with Git and collaborative development practices
- Ability to work across the stack without requiring separate frontend or backend support
- Bonus: exposure to Next.js, TypeScript, or government and healthtech platforms
Compensation: Competitive, based on experience
Working Days and Timings: Monday to Friday, standard working hours, with flexibility for overlap during project milestones
Contract Duration: 1.5 months, extendable up to 3 months based on performance and project scope
