Deliverables

• Minimum 3-5 Scopus-indexed publications per contract period (6-12 months).
• All publications must be achieved without APCs (zero-cost publishing).
• Monthly progress reports on manuscript status, submissions, and acceptances.

Key Responsibilities

• Research Manuscript Development: Transform conference reports, presentations, and whitepapers into publication-ready manuscripts aligned with Scopus journal standards.
• Conduct literature reviews and ensure originality, proper citation, and adherence to IMRAD structure (Introduction, Methods, Results, and Discussion).
• Use reference management tools (Mendeley, Zotero) and plagiarism checkers (Turnitin, iThenticate) to ensure manuscript quality.
• Journal Selection Submission: Identify appropriate Scopus-indexed journals in pharma or data science that offer free publication (subscription-based or hybrid with no APC). Verify journal legitimacy using Scopus Source List, DOAJ, and tools like thinkchecksubmit.org to avoid predatory journals. Prepare and submit manuscripts through journal portals, including cover letters, author declarations, and supplementary data.
• Peer Review Publication Management: Respond to reviewer comments and revise manuscripts to meet acceptance criteria. Track submission status and ensure timely publication and indexing in Scopus.
• Maintain documentation of all submissions, acceptances, and publications for organizational records.

Qualifications

• PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmacology, Biotechnology, Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
• Proven track record of publishing in Scopus-indexed journals (minimum 3-5 publications as first or corresponding author).
• Demonstrated ability to publish without APCs by identifying subscription-based or hybrid journals with zero fees.
• Strong understanding of journal selection, manuscript preparation, and peer review processes.

Technical Skills

• Expertise in academic writing, editing, and formatting per journal guidelines.
• Proficiency with reference management software (Mendeley, Zotero, EndNote).
• Familiarity with plagiarism detection tools (Turnitin, iThenticate).
• Experience using Scopus Journal Finder, DOAJ, SCImago, and NoAPC databases for journal identification.
• Knowledge of hybrid publishing models and APC waiver policies for researchers from developing countries.

Industry-specific requirements

• For Pharma Industry Role: Background in pharmaceutical research, clinical studies, drug development, or regulatory affairs. Understanding of pharma conference themes: clinical trials, pharmacovigilance, regulatory updates, market access.
• For Data Science Industry Role: Background in machine learning, AI, big data analytics, or statistical modeling. Understanding of data science conference themes: AI applications, predictive analytics, fintech data, ESG metrics.
