Pharmacist

Note: Mandatory Delhi Pharmacist registration only.

Location : Defence Colony.

Job Objective

To ensure safe, accurate, and timely dispensing of medicines while maintaining appropriate inventory, documentation, and compliance with hospital pharmacy policies and regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Dispense medicines accurately as per valid prescriptions and hospital protocols.
• Verify prescriptions, dosage, drug interactions, allergies, and medication instructions.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and dispensing of medicines as per prescribed standards.
• Maintain adequate stock levels and monitor medicine availability.
• Conduct stock verification, expiry checks, and maintain proper records of near-expiry and expired medicines.
• Follow FEFO/FIFO practices for medicine inventory management.
• Maintain records related to controlled, high-alert, and other regulated medicines as applicable.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other departments for medication-related queries.
• Ensure compliance with hospital pharmacy SOPs, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
• Support internal audits, stock audits, and documentation requirements.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper storage conditions within the pharmacy.
• Handle patient/customer queries professionally and provide appropriate guidance on medication usage as per scope of practice.
• Participate in shift duties, including rotational/night shifts, as required.
• Perform any other pharmacy-related responsibilities assigned by the reporting manager.

Eligibility & Experience

• B.Pharm / D.Pharm from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 2+ years of relevant hospital/retail pharmacy experience.
• Mandatory: Valid registration with Delhi Pharmacy Council.
• Knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, inventory management, and medicine dispensing.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with pharmacy software is preferred.
