Job Summary

Presidency School, Yelahanka, is looking for a passionate and experienced High School Chemistry Teacher to join our academic team. The ideal candidate should have strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to engage students through effective and innovative teaching methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Chemistry lessons for high school students.
• Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, worksheets, assignments, and assessments.
• Explain complex Chemistry concepts in a clear and student-friendly manner.
• Conduct practical/laboratory sessions while ensuring proper safety procedures.
• Assess and monitor students' academic progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Prepare students for school examinations and other academic assessments.
• Maintain effective classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
• Identify students' learning needs and provide appropriate academic support.
• Participate in parent-teacher meetings, staff meetings, school events, and other academic activities.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and academic progress.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and academic coordinators to improve teaching and learning outcomes.

Candidate Profile

• Master's/Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a relevant subject.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred/required as per school norms.
• Prior experience teaching Chemistry at the High School/Secondary level.
• Strong knowledge of Chemistry concepts and practical applications.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to use technology and digital teaching tools effectively.
• Passion for teaching and nurturing students' academic and personal development.

Experience

5 - 10 years of relevant teaching experience preferred.
