Performance Test Architect

Role & responsibilities

At least 12 years of overall IT experience, including a minimum of 5 years in Banking / Financial Services. 

Ability to define performance goals, KPIs and SLAs, and establish frameworks to measure and validate outcomes. 

Experience analysing and improving full-stack application performance using Chrome DevTools or native profilers. 

Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, the OSI model, DNS and TCP/IP protocols. 

Strong knowledge of distributed systems, fault tolerance, resiliency and performance characteristics. 

Exposure to Domain-Driven Design (DDD), SOLID principles, and data modelling across RDBMS and NoSQL databases. 

Experience with microservices, API servers, databases, cloud-native development and observability. 

Hands-on exposure to enterprise architecture tools such as MEGA HOPEX, Avolution ABACUS and Orbus iServer. 

Proficiency with performance testing tools such as JMeter and BlazeMeter, and APM/monitoring tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics. 

Understanding of performance across hardware and software systems, including servers, networks and operating systems.

Strong communication, documentation and presentation skills.
