About this role
Roles & Responsibilities
Performance Marketing:
- Plan, execute, and manage paid ad campaigns across Meta Ads, Google Ads, and other relevant platforms
- Monitor daily campaign performance, optimize budgets, and scale high-performing ads while pausing underperforming ones
- Conduct A/B testing on creatives, audiences, ad copy, and placements to improve ROI and reduce customer acquisition cost
- Track and report key metrics (CTR, CPC, CPA, ROAS, conversions) and share actionable insights with the team
Creative Design:
- Design ad creatives, banners, social media posts, and landing page visuals using tools like Canva, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite
- Ensure all creative assets align with brand guidelines and campaign objectives
- Rapidly iterate on creative concepts based on performance data and testing results
Video Production & Editing:
- Shoot and edit short-form video content (Reels, Shorts, ad videos) for social media and paid campaigns
- Edit raw footage into polished, platform-optimized content using tools like Premiere Pro, CapCut, or After Effects
- Turn around video content quickly to keep up with fast-moving campaign and content needs
Content & Social Media Management:
- Plan and manage content calendars across social media platforms
- Write captions, ad copy, and basic messaging that aligns with brand voice
- Engage with the audience/community through comments, DMs, and interactions where needed
Collaboration & Communication:
- Work directly with founders/core team to translate business goals into marketing campaigns
- Present campaign performance, learnings, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders
- Collaborate cross-functionally with sales, product, or customer teams as needed
Strategy & Ownership:
- Take end-to-end ownership of assigned campaigns, from ideation to execution to reporting
- Stay updated on platform trends, algorithm changes, and new ad formats to keep strategies current
- Proactively suggest new marketing experiments, creative angles, or growth ideas
What We're Looking For:
- 1-2 years of hands-on experience in performance marketing, ideally including direct experience managing ad budgets, even if modest ones, on platforms like Meta Ads or Google Ads.
- Genuine creative skills, meaning you can actually open a design tool and video editor yourself and produce something usable, rather than only being able to brief someone else to do it.
- Strong communication skills, both for collaborating closely with a small team and for occasionally representing the brand's voice externally, whether that's writing captions, talking to customers, or presenting ideas confidently in an informal setting.
- A bias toward action and comfort with a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment, since startups rarely have fully defined processes and you'll often need to figure things out as you go.
- Resourcefulness and a "figure it out" attitude, since budgets, tools, and support will be leaner than what a larger company might offer, and creativity often needs to compensate for limited resources.
- A genuine interest in the startup's industry or mission, since early-stage marketing works best when the person doing it actually cares about the product and understands the audience deeply.
