Performance Engineer

We are looking for a Performance Engineer to drive performance, scalability, and reliability testing for Komprise's File System and Data Management stack. You will work closely with Development, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams to identify performance bottlenecks, build automation, optimise system performance, and ensure the product can operate reliably at scale.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and execute performance and scalability testing for cloud file systems and data management products.
• Work closely with Development and QA teams to architect systems for performance and scale.
• Design and enhance performance automation frameworks and contribute to architecture improvements.
• Use strong scripting and programming skills to identify performance bottlenecks and reduce performance testing cycles.
• Drive monitoring, instrumentation, and DevOps practices across the performance engineering lifecycle.
• Own the non-functional testing and performance automation charter for the Data Management stack.
• Instrument systems, collect performance metrics, analyse results, and identify bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Infrastructure teams on performance engineering, design, and testing.
• Apply performance engineering practices to highly complex, scalable, and reliable software systems.

Requirements:

• 4-6 years of experience in performance and scalability testing/validation.
• Strong experience with filesystem and/or storage technologies is preferred.
• Proven experience as an Individual Contributor testing and automating complex, scalable, and reliable software.
• Strong understanding of performance automation architecture.
• Hands-on experience monitoring Linux and Windows system/process metrics.
• Experience with application performance tuning across Java, C, or C++ applications.
• Experience with code instrumentation, performance measurement, profiling, and bottleneck identification.
• Good understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
• Strong scripting/programming skills with an automation-focused mindset.
• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent qualification.
