Telecom Knowledge

Candidates should have working knowledge of one or more of the following:

• 2G/3G/4G/LTE/5G network architecture
• EPC and 5G Core (5GC)
• IMS architecture
• VoLTE / VoNR
• Signaling protocols and interfaces
• SS7 / SIGTRAN
• Diameter
• GTP / GTP-C / GTP-U
• SIP
• HTTP/HTTPS and REST APIs
• Telecom network elements and interfaces
• SIM/USIM, authentication and subscriber management concepts
• Telecom OSS/BSS environments
• Cloud-native and virtualized telecom infrastructure
• Network Function Virtualization (NFV)
• Software Defined Networking (SDN)
• Containerized/network-function environments

Penetration Testing Skills

Hands-on experience in several of the following areas is preferred:

• Network penetration testing
• Web application penetration testing
• API penetration testing
• Mobile application security testing
• Infrastructure security testing
• Vulnerability assessment
• Configuration/security review
• Authentication and authorization testing
• Privilege escalation
• Manual vulnerability validation
• Exploitation and proof-of-concept development
• Security testing of APIs and network services
• Red-team/adversary simulation concepts
