Pega Production support/Java Production support

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 Application Support for Java and PEGA-based applications in production environments. 
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues for Java applications built on Spring/Spring Boot and PEGA applications. 
• Manage incidents, service requests, and problem tickets to ensure timely resolution within SLA. 
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures to avoid recurring issues. 
• Support production releases, deployments, and post-release validations. 
• Monitor application health, JVM performance, logs, interfaces, and proactively identify potential issues. 
• Analyze Java application logs, PEGA logs, SQL queries, and system alerts to resolve production issues. 
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure, middleware, database, and business teams for issue resolution. 
• Participate in code walkthroughs, release planning, and review meetings. 
• Analyze application workflows and understand end-to-end business processes. 
• Create and maintain support documentation, knowledge articles, SOPs, and operational runbooks. 
• Coordinate with stakeholders and business users during critical incidents and major production escalations. 
• Handle complex production issues while minimizing business impact and downtime. 
• Ensure compliance with incident management procedures, support processes, and SLA commitments. 
• Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies based on project requirements. 

Must-Have Skills

• 7 10 years of experience in Java and/or PEGA Application Production Support. 
• Strong hands-on experience supporting Java (J2EE/Spring Boot) and/or PEGA applications. 
• Good understanding of Java application architecture, REST APIs, microservices, and web applications. 
• Strong knowledge of SQL and Oracle Database. 
• Experience in Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, and Release Support. 
• Hands-on L2 Application Support experience in production environments. 
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills. 
• Experience in analyzing application logs, server logs, and database-related issues.
