Pcb Design Engineer

Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented PCB Design Engineer with min. 3 years to 8 years of experience in high-quality PCB layout and design. The ideal candidate should be capable of handling end to-end PCB development and collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams. Experience in designing military-grade or high-reliability products will be a significant advantage.

Design and develop multilayer PCBs for high speed digital, analog, mixed-signal, and RF applications using industry-standard EDA tools e.g., Cadence Allegro/OrCAD (Preferrable), Altium Designer, Mentor Graphics.

Strong fundamental knowledge on PCB design elements.

Create and validate schematics, footprints, and component libraries. Ensure proper signal integrity, power integrity, and EMI/EMC compliance in all designs.

Follow best practices in DFM (Design for Manufacturing), DFT (Design for Test), thermal management, and mechanical constraints.

Collaborate with hardware, mechanical, test, and procurement teams to meet project timelines and quality targets.

Generate complete documentation including Gerber files, drill files, BOMs, assembly drawings, and fabrication notes.

Hands-on on Gerber Verification tools like Viewmate or CAM360 is required.

Participate in design reviews, verification checks, and continuous improvement of PCB processes.

Ensure adherence to relevant industry standards (IPC, MIL-STD, etc.). Public Public

Work closely with Fabricators for stack-up requirements and manufacturing feasibility.

Take care of Power and Signal Integrity of traces.

Hands-on Experience on Ansys SIWave, Hyperlynx, Cadence Sigrity or any other simulation tools is added advantage.

Experience in handling Library Management is added advantage.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's Degree in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 3 years of experience is mandatory in professional PCB layout and design.

Proficiency in EDA tools such as Cadence Allegro (mandatory), OrCAD, Altium Designer or Mentor PADS.

Strong understanding of PCB stack-ups, impedance control, component placement, routing strategies, and DRC/LVS rules.

Experience with components footprint creation.

Familiarity with PCB manufacturing processes, assembly standards, and IPC guidelines.
