Job Description - PCB Coating Technician

Department: EMS Electronics Manufacturing

Position: PCB Coating Technician

Experience: Minimum 1 year

Education: ITI / Diploma Electronics Trade

Location: Pandithanahalli, Tumakuru

Key Responsibilities

• Perform PCB coating/conformal coating as per defined process specifications and work instructions.
• Handle PCB coating machines, spray systems, or manual coating equipment.
• Ensure proper coating thickness, coverage, curing, and quality of PCBs.
• Perform masking and demasking of components/areas before and after coating.
• Inspect coated PCBs for defects such as uneven coating, bubbles, contamination, peeling, or missed areas.
• Follow ESD, safety, and workplace guidelines while handling electronic assemblies.
• Maintain process parameters, production records, and inspection reports.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Maintenance teams for process-related issues.
• Carry out rework or touch-up activities wherever required.
• Maintain cleanliness of the coating area, tools, and equipment.
• Follow 5S, ESD, safety, and quality standards throughout the production process.

Required Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in PCB coating/conformal coating in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of PCB assembly and electronic components.
• Knowledge of coating materials, application methods, and curing processes.
• Ability to identify common coating-related defects.
• Good understanding of ESD and PCB handling practices.
• Basic documentation and production-recording skills.
• Ability to work in a production environment and meet daily targets.

Education

ITI / Diploma in Electronics / ECE / Electronics-related trade.
