Payroll Specialist

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the end-to-end monthly payroll process for employees, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payroll timelines.
• Collect, validate, and process payroll inputs including attendance, leaves, incentives, reimbursements, deductions, arrears, salary revisions, new joiners, and exits.
• Calculate monthly salary, gross-to-net pay, deductions, recoveries, and other payroll components.
• Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements including PF, ESI, Professional Tax, TDS, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, and other applicable regulations.
• Manage employee PF/UAN, ESI and tax-related payroll activities and documentation.
• Handle Full & Final Settlement (F&F) for exiting employees, including leave encashment, recoveries, deductions, and other applicable components.
• Prepare and review payroll registers, salary statements, MIS reports, variance reports, and reconciliation reports.
• Perform payroll reconciliation and identify discrepancies before final salary processing.
• Coordinate with HR, Finance, employees, banks, payroll vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth payroll operations.
• Respond to and resolve employee queries related to salary, payslips, deductions, PF, ESI, TDS, tax declarations, and F&F settlements.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive salary and personal information.
• Support statutory filings, audits, and payroll-related documentation as required.
• Ensure payroll data is accurately updated in the HRMS/payroll system.
• Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.
