Payroll Executive

At IMS Learning, you will take ownership of payroll, compensation & benefits and core HR operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency and a smooth employee experience. But the opportunity doesn't end there.

If you already have a foundation in payroll and C&B and are keen to deepen your understanding of HR, this role will give you exposure to recruitment, employee engagement, feedback and other people initiatives. You will have the opportunity to learn by doing, broaden your expertise and gradually take on greater responsibilities as you grow within the HR function.

What You Will Own

1. Make Payroll Work Seamlessly
• Manage monthly payroll processing, ensuring accurate salary computation, timely disbursement and adherence to statutory requirements.
• Verify employee business expense claims against submitted bills and supporting documents, and process reimbursements as per company policy.
• Manage payroll-related compliance, reconciliations and employee queries, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly.
• Maintain accurate payroll records and continuously look for ways to improve the efficiency and reliability of payroll processes.


2. Create a Great Employee Experience
• Make joining and onboarding a smooth, engaging experience for new employees.
• Be responsive to employee queries and help resolve day-to-day HR concerns.
• Gather employee feedback, identify areas for improvement and contribute to a better workplace experience.

3. Contribute Beyond Operations
• Support recruitment activities, from coordinating interviews to facilitating the joining process.
• Participate in employee engagement, feedback and other HR initiatives.
• Take ownership of projects and assignments that improve the effectiveness of HR processes.

4. Learn, Question and Improve
• Understand the business and explore how HR practices influence employee performance, productivity and business outcomes.
•Identify opportunities to simplify processes, improve execution and make HR more effective.
• Learn by working on real HR challenges and implementing solutions, rather than limiting yourself to routine tasks.

What We Are Looking For

• 1 to 3 years of experience in compensation & benefits, with a sound understanding of payroll processes and employee compensation.
• Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented approach to managing payroll, attendance, leave and employee records.
• Comfort working with HRMS, excel and employee data, with a focus on accuracy and timely execution.
• Good coordination and communication skills to work effectively with employees and internal stakeholders.
• A genuine interest in expanding beyond payroll and C&B to learn other aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee engagement and people initiatives.
•A proactive, curious mindset with the willingness to take ownership, learn on the job and grow into broader HR responsibilities.

Location - BKC, Mumbai

Weekly offs - 2nd and 4th Saturday and all Sundays.
