Payroll & Compliance Officer

Key Responsibilities

Payroll Management

• Process monthly payroll accurately and within stipulated timelines.
• Verify attendance, leave records, overtime, incentives, reimbursements, and deductions.
• Generate payroll reports, salary statements, payslips, and MIS reports.
• Coordinate with the Finance team for salary disbursement and payroll accounting.
• Manage Full & Final (F&F) settlements for employees leaving the organization.
• Handle employee queries related to salary, taxation, deductions, and payroll processes.
• Ensure accurate maintenance of payroll records and employee data.

Statutory Compliance

• Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
• Handle PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, and other statutory compliances.
• Prepare and submit statutory returns, challans, and related documentation within prescribed timelines.
• Maintain statutory registers, records, and compliance documentation.
• Liaise with government authorities, auditors, consultants, and inspectors as required.
• Monitor changes in labour laws and ensure timely implementation of regulatory updates.

Compliance & Documentation

• Maintain employee personnel files and statutory documents.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and reports.
• Ensure timely renewal and maintenance of statutory registrations, licenses, and certificates.
• Prepare periodic compliance reports and management dashboards.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring HR policies and compliance procedures.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in HR, Commerce, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3-7 years of relevant experience in Payroll Processing and Statutory Compliance.
• Hands-on experience with PF, ESIC, PT, LWF, Bonus, Gratuity, and Labour Law compliance.
• Experience handling payroll for medium to large organizations.
• Knowledge of payroll software and HRMS platforms.
