Payroll Accountant

Position: Payroll Accounting Manager I
Location: Hyderabad

Role Summary

Seeking an experienced Payroll Accounting Manager to oversee end-to-end payroll accounting, statutory compliance, payroll reconciliations, and financial reporting. The role requires strong expertise in payroll accounting, audit management, and compliance with Indian payroll regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage monthly payroll accounting, journal entries, provisions, and ERP postings.
• Reconcile payroll-related accounts including salary payable, statutory liabilities, and accruals.
• Coordinate month-end closing activities, variance analysis, and financial reporting.
• Manage provisions for gratuity, leave encashment, bonuses, and incentives.
• Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, labor laws, and statutory filings.
• Handle payroll-related statutory, internal, and labor audits.
• Oversee salary disbursement, statutory payments, and bank transactions.
• Partner with HR, Finance, and external vendors to ensure accurate payroll processing.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Commerce/Finance (MBA preferred).
• 6-10 years of payroll experience with strong payroll accounting exposure.
• Strong knowledge of Indian payroll statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, TDS, etc.).
• Experience with ERP/payroll systems such as SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.
• Strong reconciliation, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Background

• Experience handling payroll audits and compliance reviews.
• Exposure to large employee-base payroll environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet strict deadlines.

• Shift Timing: 1:00 PM 10:00 PM
