Key Responsibilities

Payments Strategy Product Leadership

• Lead the payments domain strategy for agentic commerce and AI-enabled payment experiences.
• Identify opportunities to enhance customer payment journeys, wallet adoption, and top-of-wallet positioning.
• Evaluate emerging payment technologies, digital commerce trends, and AI-driven payment ecosystems.
• Develop strategic recommendations and secure stakeholder alignment, including GCO approval.

Agentic Checkout Commerce Assessment

• Assess agent-driven checkout and autonomous purchasing capabilities.
• Define agentic payment use cases across retail, travel, subscriptions, corporate spend, and partner ecosystems.
• Evaluate customer experience, trust, security, compliance, and operational considerations.
• Recommend one or more high-value agentic payment propositions for implementation.

Wallets Top-of-Wallet Optimization

• Analyze digital wallet ecosystems and payment orchestration opportunities.
• Identify strategies to improve card preference and top-of-wallet placement.
• Evaluate customer incentives, rewards optimization, and payment routing capabilities.
• Define wallet integration and enablement requirements.

Payments Architecture Domain Mapping

• Map and document end-to-end payment capabilities, including:
• Tokenization
• Digital wallets
• Card lifecycle management
• Rewards and loyalty programs
• Promotional offers
• Corporate payment controls
• Merchant and partner integrations
• Define target-state payment architecture and functional dependencies.

Customer Journey Transaction Validation

• Validate critical payment flows, including:
• Checkout experiences
• Card selection and recommendation
• Authorization and authentication
• Payment declines and recovery strategies
• Refunds and chargebacks
• Rewards redemption scenarios
• Ensure solutions meet customer, business, and regulatory requirements.

Economics Partnership Assessment

• Assess commercial viability of proposed payment products and experiences.
• Analyze:
• Revenue opportunities
• Interchange impacts
• Reward costs
• Operational costs
• Partner economics
• Vendor dependencies
• Build business cases and ROI models for prioritized propositions.

Solution Architecture Delivery Planning

• Define solution architecture patterns for agentic payment capabilities.
• Evaluate integration requirements across payment gateways, processors, wallets, token services, rewards systems, and AI platforms.
• Identify implementation dependencies, risks, and delivery constraints.
• Develop a phased execution roadmap.

Backlog Proposition Definition

• Produce detailed proposition specifications and business requirements.
• Create user stories, architectural requirements, and acceptance criteria.
• Prioritize capabilities and delivery milestones.
• Support delivery teams throughout implementation.

Required Skills Experience

Payments Domain Expertise

• 8+ years of experience in Payments, Cards, Digital Commerce, Banking, or FinTech.
• Deep understanding of:
• Card payments
• Wallets and mobile payments
• Payment gateways
• Merchant acquiring
• Rewards and loyalty ecosystems
• Corporate payments

Solution Architecture

• Experience designing enterprise-scale payment solutions.
• Strong understanding of API-driven architectures, payment integration patterns, and cloud-native solutions.
• Ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical designs.

GenAI Agentic Systems

• Experience with GenAI, AI agents, autonomous workflows, and conversational commerce.
• Understanding of AI-assisted checkout, recommendations, and commerce orchestration.
• Familiarity with RAG, agent frameworks, and AI platform ecosystems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, digital wallet providers, payment gateways, or large banking institutions.
• Knowledge of PCI-DSS, payment security, tokenization standards, and fraud prevention frameworks.
• Experience with Azure, AWS, GCP, or cloud-based payment architectures.
• Familiarity with Open Banking, embedded finance, and agentic commerce ecosystems.
