Pathology Lab Technician

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Pathology Laboratory Technician to join our diagnostic team. The technician will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and processing for laboratory analysis. This role is critical in supporting accurate diagnostic results and maintaining high standards of patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect venous blood samples from patients using standard phlebotomy techniques.
• Ensure proper patient identification and accurate labeling of specimens.
• Prepare, centrifuge, and process blood samples for analysis.
• Follow protocols for biosafety, infection control, and quality assurance.
• Document all procedures and maintain accurate records in laboratory information systems.
• Safely dispose of biohazardous materials in compliance with regulations.
• Provide compassionate care and reassurance to patients during sample collection.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) or related field.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and patient interaction skills.
