Database Engineer(Automation)

Experience: 8+ years

Role Summary:

Seeking an experienced Database Automation Engineer to automate DBA operations across Oracle, MSSQL, and PostgreSQL environments, improving efficiency, reducing ticket volumes, and enhancing MTTR.

Key Responsibilities:

• Automate DBA operational activities using PowerShell and/or Python.
• Build automation playbooks using Ansible, Puppet, or similar tools.
• Analyse DBA tickets and automate repetitive activities.
• Automate user provisioning, access management, and role assignments.
• Automate database health checks, maintenance, job monitoring, remediation, refreshes, cloning, and backup/recovery validation.
• Integrate automation with IAM, monitoring, and observability tools.
• Implement self-service and event-driven auto-remediation workflows.
• Develop ServiceNow or ticketing tool workflows for service requests and automated fulfilment.
• Identify process improvements to reduce manual effort and MTTR.
