Role Summary:
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Palo Alto-based network infrastructure. Guide architecture and security standards across Palo Alto and Cisco environments. Mentor engineers and ensure network reliability, performance, and security.
What Youll Do:
- Lead design and implementation of Palo Alto network infrastructure
- Own architecture and configuration standards for Palo Alto and Cisco environments
- Champion network security best practices including encryption, firewalls, and compliance
- Define and oversee network performance and failover testing strategies
- Mentor engineers in troubleshooting and optimizing network performance
- Create detailed technical documentation and operational procedures
- Serve as technical liaison with engineering, SRE, and infrastructure teams
What We re Looking For (Must-Haves):
- Experience with Palo Alto and Cisco network environments
- Technical lead experience
- Expertise in IPsec and SSL VPNs
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and network security protocols
- Experience with BGP/OSPF protocol configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience with firewalls and switches (Palo Alto and Cisco)
- Experience with network automation tools (Python, Perl, Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins)
- Ability to lead technical workstreams and influence cross-functional teams
Good to Have (Optional - only if mentioned):
- Palo Alto Firewall Administration
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related discipline.
