About this role
Role & responsibilities
Include end-to-end OTT application testing, test planning, functional and regression testing, API validation, video playback testing, defect management, release validation, stakeholder communication, and continuous improvement of QA processes.
The ideal candidate demonstrates strong analytical skills, troubleshooting abilities, ownership of assigned QA activities, attention to detail, and the ability to independently drive testing activities while ensuring high-quality product releases.
experience in OTT Application Testing.
• Strong knowledge of OTT workflows including Live TV, VOD, DVR, EPG, Subscriptions, and User Profiles.
• Hands-on testing experience across Web, Android, iOS, Android TV, Fire TV, Smart TV, and STB platforms.
• Experience in video streaming validation including HLS, DASH, DRM, CDN, and Adaptive Bitrate Streaming.
• Hands-on experience with API testing tools like Postman/Swagger.
• Experience with Jira and test management tools like TestRail/Zephyr.
• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Good troubleshooting, debugging, and defect analysis skills.
• Basic SQL knowledge for backend/data validation.
• Exposure to automation tools like Selenium, Appium, Playwright, ADB, or Charles is preferred
