Job Description
KJK Hospital is looking for a skilled and dedicated OT Technician to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and maintaining operation theatres, handling surgical instruments and equipment, and assisting surgeons and nursing staff to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain operation theatres before, during, and after surgical procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures.
- Ensure proper cleaning, sterilisation, and maintenance of surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Check the functionality of surgical equipment and report any technical issues.
- Monitor and replenish surgical instruments, supplies, and consumables.
- Follow infection control protocols and patient safety standards.
- Assist in patient preparation and positioning for surgical procedures.
- Maintain accurate records related to OT equipment, instruments, and sterilisation procedures.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Operation Theatre Technology or a related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as an OT Technician or in a similar role.
- Knowledge of surgical instruments, OT procedures, and sterile techniques.
- Familiarity with infection control and patient safety protocols.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in rotational shifts and emergency situations.
