About this role
Job Purpose
To assist the surgical team in providing safe, efficient, and hygienic operation theater services before, during, and after surgeries.
Key Responsibilities - Prepare the Operation Theater before each surgery.
- Arrange and check surgical instruments, equipment, and required supplies.
- Assist doctors and nurses during surgical procedures.
- Maintain proper sterilization and infection-control standards.
- Handle surgical instruments safely and efficiently.
- Check the availability and functionality of OT equipment.
- Assist in cleaning and preparing the OT after each procedure.
- Maintain proper records of instruments, consumables, and OT activities.
- Follow hospital safety, infection-control, and emergency procedures.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, CSSD, pharmacy, and other departments as required.
- Report any equipment issues, shortages, or incidents to the OT In-charge.
- Maintain patient privacy, safety, and confidentiality at all times
